Partnership with the Coastal Guardians |
 |
 |
 |
 |
As they are part of the environment in
which they are developing and because they share the same values
as the people who protect it, in 2001, Les Mousquetaires entered
into a partnership agreement with the
Conservatoire du Littoral (a coastline conservation trust)
aimed at supporting the work of the 450 coastline guardians.
|
To this end, Les Mousquetaires have set up shared
product operations (sale of sailors' shirts, deck shoes) in
their stores, for two purposes:
To collect funds for the coastal guardians.
To promote the work of the guardians and of the Conservatoire
du Littoral. For each product sold, Les
Mousquetaires undertake to donate one euro to the coastline
guardians. The amount collected from customers is administered
by Rivages de France (Shores of France), the management
organisation of the Conservatoire du Littoral.

Review of operations
Since 2001, Les Mousquetaires have collected more
than 320,000 euros.
An effective partnership for
the work of the coastline guardians
Thanks to these donations, the 450 coastline guardians
have received tools and equipment for use in their work of monitoring
and maintaining this exceptional heritage, including binoculars, optical
equipment, nets, compasses, GPS units, portable weather stations, bird
watching telescopes, Winbird software, ornithological and botanical
guides and digital cameras.
Forums and trainings have also been financed thanks to this partnership.
