Les Mousquetaires support growers using
'reasoned' agricultural methods. In the fruit and vegetables line,
since November 2001, Les Mousquetaires have been marketing produce
grown under this new form of cultivation, whose objective is to
manage the factors of production as efficiently as possible, taking
into account the soil conditions, the actual needs of the plant,
safety, and protection of the environment.
As an example, in 2002 Les Mousquetaires sold 49,000 tonnes of potatoes
meeting the NF V25 111 standard (which defines the methods for the
reasoned cultivation of potatoes), and 12,000 tonnes of apples in
accordance with the Integrated Fruit Production regulations. |
